(Clinton Scandal stuff below update)

Long time no see right? Sorry. I’ll give you a quick update. Well, today was my last day of Women Studies. It was a cool class, I liked it a lot. Gender classes are very fascinating to me- it’s all about analyzing the social structure we see around us everyday. That’s why summer term I’ll be the teaching assistant for BYU’s Psychology 306 (Sex and Gender). Umm… what else… I’m taking the LSAT on Monday, so I’ll talk about that experience later… I need to find a new place to live. I want to move back to the Crestwood but it’s currently booked. Patience is a virtue.
I have a couple of things I’ve been itching to write about, so I’ll jot them down here as to not forget them. I’ve just been SOo0o0 busy between work, socializin’, school, LSAT that I haven’t even been getting all my errands done that I need to (like take my car into the shop).
I have been getting into investing. I’m reading books about stocks, the market, investing wisely/not so wisely, and it’s fascinating so far. I’ll be talking about that sometime- what I’ve been learning and what got me interested in investing. I’m going to blog about what I’m completely against Obama’s fiscal policy- highlighting his desire to raise capital gains tax (preview: bad idea B. Hussein Obama!). I don’t know what else I’ll talk about… I’ve put off posting waiting for the LSAT, so after monday I’ll be back.
Ok, about the scandal-
Tonight I’ll simply leave you with a telling clip I found on Youtube- a segment of Clinton’s testimony at his impeachment hearing (Lewinsky). I hear he was a decent president, brought down the deficit, economic boom, peace, socialist I mean liberal political ideals, blah blah. Ok, whatever. He wasn’t exactly a one man show people, however, I think he finds himself in a tight spot during his testimony hearing. Just watch the video and tell me what you think in the comments, I’d love to hear from you.
Bill’s Testimony to the Grand Jury

I don’t think he committed perjury (did not lie)- sounds like he did everything short of sexual relations, as every answer is just “I did not have sexual relations with her as previously defined”, but is quick to say “accusations that I had SEXUAL RELATIONS with her is FALSE” I think he may be telling the truth… but did fool around a lot as she says he did-

What I’ve decided about Bill Clinton’s situation. Did he commit a very large mistake? Yes. On a scale of 1-10? 17. But I mean, how embarrassing for him. For his wife and daughter. I mean, allegations of cheating is bad enough for a private citizen, but imaging you have to do it in public. It’s on the cover of every single newspaper and magazine in the nation, your deposition is on the web, every news station reports every detail daily. How horrible. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, not even Bill. I’m being serious. As much as I think of him (which isn’t very much), I still feel sorry that his sin which normally should be between him, his wife, daughter, and God (as he said) was made so public. Now I know someone is going to write “Yeah, but he’s the President! And he’s supposed to morally uphold his office and blah blah”. I agree with you. As a nation we deserve the right to know if our president is not upholding his moral obligation, but it’s still lousy for him. Can you imagine if your mistakes were flaunted in front of the world and to be asked about it all the time for the rest of not only your life, but your daughter’s life? He paid a huge price is all I’m saying. With the amount of people who hate Bush I’m surprised he hasn’t been impeached yet (bless his Texas heart).
P.s. I remember when the Ken Star Report came with our newspaper. I actually kept it in my Keepsake trunk knowing it would be a big historical document someday and it would be neat to pull it out “Here’s the original when it ran in the paper”, but one day I actually glanced at what it SAID in there and thought “yesh!” and threw the filth out. In hindsight I kinda wish I HAD kept it… oh well hindsights 20/20.
What do you think about it?
