Thank you for your comment Victor. I'm sure there are those readers who will agree with your analysis of these concepts, however I am going to have to take issue with your statement. A theory can be used in two ways- one is as you mentioned, it can be more scientifically solid in it's founding or it can be used more colloquially to mean a concept or formed idea. Like, my sandwich was stolen from the refrigerator. My "theory" is that my roommate ate it. It's just a theory, meaning by definition unproven but plausible. I agree with you that creationism is a more secular term for intelligent design- synonyms. If I'm mistaken, feel free to correct me. You stated "...intelligent design... IS trying to become a legitimate scientific theory and is trying to become evolution's equal in education". This is true- there are those who are pushing for I.D. to be taught in school. Now I strongly believe in the biblical account of the creation, but I don't believe that Intelligent Design/Creationism is something that can be scientifically 'proven' like you prove a geological theory. To believe that God created the world and placed all forms of life thereon by design requires a measure of faith. I do not believe that the divine creation of the world was meant to be 'proven' by the science of men. God is not interested in 'scientifically' proving His existence. If He wanted that He would just appear to everyone and say "Here I AM". It's supposed to be taken on a bit of faith, but for those whom have "eyes to see" and "ears to hear" the evidence of His existence and His hand in the creation is clear.

The problem with your comment is that evolution is a theory, but your definition of it is wrong. A theory is not something to be taken lightly, it is something that has been tested and proven over and over again. By your definition, gravity is just a theory, the solar system is just a theory. If scientists didnt invent scientific method, we would still be living in aristotles model of the universe. As for intelligent design, the main problem you dont see is that it IS trying to become a legitamite scientific theory, and it is trying to become evolutions equal in education. Comparing evolution to creationism (and yes, creationism is intelligent design) is like comparing, well, you cannot even begin to compare the two. Evolution is just too supirior to it. And that includes the FACT that we come from monkeys ( eg. George Bush. Just look around you!).

To Whom it would concern
Pardon me for being somewhat ignorant, i could not find a proper name to address. Im not sure if this is even the right contact but i'll give it a shot. My name is Tom Porowski, i am a music major, but i am writing an Analytical Text in English.
I came across your wonderfully written article about the joker. I myself am writing a Psychoanalysis based upon the character.. I wanted to know if, of course with the proper citations, if i could refer to your idea on the twitching and connection to his mother.
If alright, i would like to include that. If so, Just your name and date of the original post of the article. I would appreciate the permission.
                                      Thank You

Hello and thank you for your heart-felt words re: your connection with the students at Heritage. I think the young people were fortunate to have someone who was willing to listen and coach them. For me, I have gotten a recommendation for this school and my child is very creative as well as having difficulty in many of areas you mention. I am a professor of adolescence, single parent and have practically given up my career to be there as I realize how my presence is so important yet I am finding I am not enough. She has difficulty attending school as well because she is inflexible and has much trouble with transitions. She has too many diagnosis and I do not believe one of them but small parts of many. She needs constancy, love and a community that can pull her out of her own limited way of thinking and responding. I need confidence that she will not be treated by so much behavior modification that she will shut down and never make any progress as that has not worked well. She needs coaching, patience, firmness, and love. Am I dreaming? Any response would be so greatly appreciated.

I'd just like to randomly comment, that the idea behind this article is melodramatic and ridiculous.

Certainly there is such thing as "quality of experience" which can be defined by how much one enjoys one's existence (expectations relative to experience relative to goals, or something along those lines...) - but it's simply too funny, absurd and ridiculous to imagine a "you're supposed to get this" or "you're supposed to get that" fairytale. Indeed write as many poems as you like, but the whole idea that poems are somehow a description of life dates back to the eighteenth century, when selfish solipsistic whiners originally decided that physics didn't comply with their masturbatory outlook on love and life. Many - MANY - and some with high-level academic credentials indeed - can repeat this mantra, but for all the crying of a planet's worth of biomass, we're still all numbers with an efficiency ratio in the vast flow of evolution - no more, no less, than the insect that just flew by.
